Cut the Mustard is Hiring with the Kickstart Scheme!

Updated: Dec 14, 2022

Aged 16-24 and currently on Universal Credit?

Cut the Mustard is looking for you! Yes, we have Government funding via the Kickstart team, and are looking for two young people to join us as a Creative Assistant. If you have an interest in animation, art, design or filmmaking, you could be perfect for us, especially if you'd like to get experience and learn animation in a six month industry workplace.

We're open to a range of creatives, from animation graduates looking to get their first job, to younger people looking to learn animation on the job. Creative assistants will be helping across the board with creative jobs, shaping to their skills and interests, from admin to marketing, social media and production. Alongside helping with the day-to-day of Cut the Mustard's workings, we'll also be teaching animation skills, and (if you're ready) applying them in real projects.

The placement is six months long and run through the Government Kickstart scheme - it's open to those looking for six months of experience, or people who may be interested in growing with us long-term.

If you're interested, speak to your Job Centre Coach for a referral to bag an interview, or come to one of our Job Fairs at Norwich Job Centre (Kiln House, same building as our office!) - our first confirmed dates are the 2nd and 6th of December - keep an eye on our Instagram for further date announcements!

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions! We look forward to speaking to future applicants and expanding the team with two new creative assistants!

Liam
